Paul + Heather | Swift Current Wedding
Well my peeps, this was the last wedding of my 2014 wedding season. What a great ride this year has been. It’s hard to believe that it was only four years ago I photographed my first wedding. This year has been my busiest to date with weddings and what a rush it has been!
But on to Heather and Paul‘s lovely winter wedding. Well technically it was fall but hey it felt like winter! Paul and Heather were married in Rhineland, SK (a small community about 15 km outside Swift Current). They had a small intimate wedding with a their siblings as their wedding party. However this didn’t mean it was a simple affair. It meant it was a simply beautiful affair. There is something to be said for the gathering of a small group of people together to celebrate the love of two people. They had also had lovely details that made it feel straight out of the pages of a magazine, at the same time incorporating family history. The tartan is from Paul’s family – their family tartan – what a neat element to add to the wedding day. So let’s see, two people in love, pretty flowers from one of my favorite florists, pretty details, and a Mennonite family, hmmmm…… nope can’t think of anything better to end my wedding season on.
Thank you Heather and Paul (and your brave wedding party!) for embracing our Saskatchewan wind (and windchill!) to get some outdoor photos and for being such troopers! Thank you to your families for including me and treating me like family. It really was a lovely way to end the season. PS. Paul I am totally holding you to the promise to having me come out to the farm next harvest for photos!Vendors Decorations – Church/Reception: Wired 4 Weddings – based out of Consul, SK Ceremony – Rhineland Church – Rhineland, SK Reception – Elmwood Golf Course – Swift Current, SK Cakes – Penny Barr – family friend Flowers – Poppy Parsons AIFD – Smart Flowers – Swift Current, SK
